Becoming a perfumer came quite naturally. Even at a young age, our beloved artist began studying communication and semiotics, and soon after her intuition led her to delve into the more technical side of the world of fragrances. She decided to open a small atelier in Milan and create "olfactory portraits", while at the same time specialising over time in the extraction of raw materials and in the formulation of perfumes. It was not until 2010 when Enrico decided to open the first laboratory of high perfumery in Atria (Italy), creating his own brand "...".Angela Ciampagna"and one year later "Label perfumes currently residing on the Canary Island of Tenerife (Spain).
When we asked Angela what she finds most appealing about her profession and what is her favourite thing about it, we asked her to tell us what she likes most about her job and what is her favourite thing about it. purpose to create such special aromas, he replies that the perfume industry is very fascinating and advances very fast, it requires discipline, dedication and creativity, which is why it allows them to constantly improve: research and discovery of raw materials, trips abroad, contacts with people from all over the world... The fragrances make possible a link between research, craftsmanship and the careful selection of raw materials.
The importance of making a perfume is none other than the reason and the idea which creates the same one, Angela tells us. Searching for a scent that takes you somewhere you don't know, that brings back childhood memories, that makes you happy when you smell it or creates a certain uncertainty of "I've never smelled anything like it before". For her, creating a new scent is compared to "what you feel when you wake up when you open the window, when you see a child smiling, what happens when the beauty is too much and overwhelms you, what happens when you surpass yourself".
If we talk about the work of ghost-nose or "hidden nose" refers to work that is done for someone where there is a set time frame.
On the other hand, when working out of love and will, there is no deadline, but it depends on many factors. The timing is entirely emotional, following an invisible dialogue between the perfume and the person who smells it.
Generate a theme that marks the beginning of a story, an idea or a point of view and transform it into a fragrance where through the pH of the skin and the stimulation of the brain it generates that unique scent of identity for each individual.
Each of Angela's perfumes has a strong meaning for her, which she intends to convey to others through smell. We move away from the mediocrity of many big perfume and cosmetics brands and companies whose only aim is to "want to sell", to replicate existing essences without putting into play the research and investigation of the pure materials and essences. In the words of the perfumer, what would be "selling glass for diamonds".
Although fragrances are so subjective as a work of art, they allow us to connect with our own feelings. That is why, at present, for Angela "Miracula This would undoubtedly be his most special perfume, as it was made with great affection following the death of his mother, who was very present throughout his career as a perfumer, bringing back memories of those moments spent together as a family.
